I have been analysing the channel 5 commissioning page and looking for a show that would fit into channel 5's schedule and be similar to the norm of what channel 5 usually screen on their channel.
I saw a paragraph from Sean Doyle who is the commissioning editor at channel 5 asking for a documentary show that is "brave" and one that "jumps out of the schedule" that will really grab peoples attention. This gave me the idea to create a documentary of a very stigmatised subject, suicide.
As I have struggled with mental health for the last few years I feel as if researching and creating something so meaningful will be very good to do, not just for my grade but for myself. Due to the fact that I will be so personally involved with the project It will feel more natural and less of a task to complete my project, which will be very helpful.
